Our Charlotte Tour Offerings have Expanded!
In an effort to showcase as much of Charlotte through its restaurants, chefs, and culinary artisans, we have launched a new Charlotte food tour in Historic South End – Bars & Bits Historic South End Food Tour. This particular tour will focus on the variety of establishments in South End that provide an opportunity for fellowship over great food and drink.
This “happy hour themed” food tour is full of a variety of tour stops that provide alcoholic sampling paired with great cuisine while telling the history of the area.
We will visit everything from the wine bar concept to fine dining all the way to touring a local brewery and sampling cuisine from the hot food truck scene that gathers in South End every Friday night for Food Truck Fridays. (Non-alcoholic offerings are available throughout the food tour.)
Historic South End has come a long way from its industrial roots and is now one of the fastest growing areas of Charlotte to live, work, and play. Much of that growth came about in the 1990s and early 2000s with the construction and addition of the CATS Light Rail Blue Line that runs right through the area.
Tours will run about every other Friday from 4pm – 7pm. We hope this will be a great way to kick off your weekend with a fun thing to do in Charlotte. Whether you are local or a visitor, meeting the owners, chefs, and key management that make these operations successful in addition to getting to sample some great food and beverage will be enlightening and entertaining. If you are visiting and staying in Uptown, with the Light Rail, you can easily still attend this tour without your own transportation.
We hope you can join us soon on our Bars & Bites Historic South End Food Tour in Charlotte!
